The topsoil further contains microorganisms. You can use the topsoil when you are planning to plant on a lawn or garden, but not in pots or containers. It combines with existing soil in the outdoor lawns. Do not lay vegetable mix topsoil as a separate layer. This abnormally increases drainage and the roots of the vegetables stagnate at the top soil.
